                         Action Research

  • What is action Research?

         Action Research refers to a wide variety of evaluate , investigative and analytical research methods designed to diagnose problems or weakness whether organizational , academic or instructional and help educators develop practical solutions to address them quickly and efficiently. Action research is typically focused on  solving specific problem or a specific question. Action is either research initiated to solve an immediate problem or a reflective process of progressive problem solving that integrates research ,action and analysis. In simple word action research can be viewed as a form of disciplined inquiry utilized by teachers , instructors, and supervisors to better understand student learning and teacher  effectiveness.
These seven are followed while conducting action research
1. Selection of problem
2. Clarifying theories
3. Identifiying research questions
4. Collecting data
5. Analyzing data
6. Reporting results
7. Taking informed action.

NAME OF THE PROBLEM:
Lack of interest in subject account.

DEFINIION OF THE PROBLEM:
Students of  Sadhu Vaswani International School of grade 11th (Commerce) are not taking interest in Accountancy.

POPULATION=SAMPLE:
Students of 11th A.

PROBLEM OF CAUSES:
The problem causes concerning the problem can be listed as under..
1.Students are not clear with the basic rules of accounting.
2.Students are unaware of the importance of subject in   academic.
3. Teaching method of the teacher are not appropriate.
4.Students are not able to recognize the rules of accounting.
5.Practical teaching are not given in proper method by teacher.
6.Finding difficulty in calculation.
7.Students have already done sums in tuitions.
8. Timing of account’s class.

Hypothesis: Following are the hypothesis related to causes.
1st Cause: Students are not clear with the basic rules of accounting.
Hypothesis: If the teacher explain rules again with more easy way and by giving examples ,it will help students in learning.
2nd Cause: Students are unaware of the importance of subject in   academic.
Hypothesis: If teacher should discuss about the career opportunity in accounting and importance of subject in their filed students will understand the importance of subject.
3rd Cause: Teaching method of the teacher are not appropriate
Hypothesis: Teacher should use different method, technology, teaching aids to make teaching method appropriate.
4th Cause: Students are not able to recognize the rules of accounting.
Hypothesis: Teacher should give daily practice of learning with easy examples to make them recognize the rules of accounting.
5th Cause: Practical teaching are not given in proper method by teacher.
Hypothesis: Daily practice of practical teaching should be done in the class with proper method and tools by teacher.
6th Cause: Finding difficulty in calculation.
Hypothesis: If the techniques and way of explaining calculation made easy by teacher then students will learn the it.
7th Causes: Students have already done sums in tuitions.
Hypothesis: if students already know about the topics, teacher can ask them in different ways to make the class interesting then they will learn more about the topic.
8th Cause: Timing of account’s class.
Hypothesis: Timing of account’s class should be in first four period when students interest in good .
